The focus will be on increasing empowerment and self-support of persons with mental health problems and other disabilities. The participating countries are the Netherlands, Estonia and Hungary.

José Buitendijk, MSc, is educated as a health care psychologist, CARe coach, CARe auditor and Strengths trainer.  In the past she worked as a social worker with homeless people. 


As manager Policy and Quality she is responsible for the implementation and development of CARe at Traverse, an organization for homeless people in Tilburg, the Netherlands.  She also works as a science practitioner at Tranzo, University of Tilburg, where she studies the effects of CARe on the quality of life and rehabilitation goals of long term houseless clients.  Member of the Daily Board of the Academic Collaborative Centre for Shelters and Public Mental  Health at Radboud University Nijmegen Medical.

Croatian and Slovenian colleagues - Study Tour in Holland

Ada Stojanovic Babic (Susret Association, Croatia), Mateja Kranberger and Bostjan Repnik (Ozara, Slovenia) visited Holland for a short study tour in October 2012.  


Susret Association is planning to open a new mobile case management service in Zagreb and they had the opportunity to visit Els Makay (CARe Europe country representative) at her organization Propersona in Nijmegen.


Propersona runs a well established case management service based on Assertive Community Treatment model
