Triin Vana (Estonia) acquired an education in nursing (specialized on teaching and leadership), psychosocial rehabilitation (trainers training) and management, supervision and coaching. She has certified as EQUASS (European Quality of Social Services) consultant.

She has 17 years experience of working as leader in different mental health organizations and teams, the last 10 years she works as director of Tallinn Mental Health Center. The organization is a leading provider of mental health services in Estonia, who has also Quality Assurance Certificate, EQUASS.

Last 15 years she has been trainer on the field of health care, social welfare and public sector. The themes include psychosocial rehabilitation, teamwork, leadership, quality management and social work supervision.

She has supervision and coaching experience since 2004 and offers supervision for individuals and groups mostly in health care, social welfare and non profit sector.

Since 2006 she has been involved as trainer and expert on 3 different EU projects coordinated by Astangu Vocational Rehabilitation Center all aimed at developing rehabilitation service system in Estonia.

Karin Hanga​, PhD

Karin has been working in the field of disability and rehabilitation since 2007 when she started her work in the Estonian Chamber or Disabled Persons (the national disability umbrella organization). As the managing director, Karin was responsible for supporting the organizations of persons with disabilities in Estonia, for providing training programs and raising awareness about the rights of persons with disabilities.


In 2015 - 2017 Karin worked in Astangu Vocational Rehabilitation Center as the head of the Rehabilitation Competence Center and from the beginning of 2018 as a service manager in Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund, being responsible for vocational rehabilitation, peer counselling and supported employment services in Estonia.

In 2006 – 2015 Karin participated in different development projects in Estonia to make Estonian rehabilitation system more client-centred and effective. Since 2010 she has conducted lectures in Tallinn University (social work with persons with disabilities, social- and vocational rehabilitation services provision etc.,).  

In 2018 Karin acquired the Ph.D. in social work Tallinn University. Her dissertation was entitled “Developing an initial social rehabilitation needs assessment procedure and the scope of rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities in Estonia“ and got high recognition from Estonian Research Council.

Karin is a mother of 4 children, loves gardening and playing bass guitar.
