Vanda Katona

Eötvös Loránd Science University Budapest Faculty of Special Education

Vanda Katona is a sociologist and she works as a researcher in the Eötvös Loránd Science University Budapest Faculty of Special Education. She studies in a Ph.D. programme in the university and the topic of her researches is the social roles of people with disabilities that she is examining with qualitative method.

In this project Vanda has developed a course titled Community Care with a detailed curriculum. In her lecture she will present community care in the mirror of Hungarian situation particularly the process of deinstitutionalization and she will show the new possibilities of social integration created by this service.
